We left off with Aaron riding his bike on Saturday, March 28th, feet taped to the pedals, by Thursday of the following week he was riding freely!!! It is great! Friday was spent with much anticipation waiting for Papa and Gee to get to town. It was fantastic having them here for a short weekend and we tried to take advantage of the time as best as possible. Luckily Bill was
home so the weekend was even that much better. Saturday we took a road trip to Valley of Fire and the Hoover Dam. Two incredible sights, and definitely do-able in one day.
This was Angie's first experience climbing red rocks. Just wait 'til you get to Red Rock Canyon!
Aaron still loves to slide. This was a rather significant one.
Thanks to Papa for carrying Livi's purse. Every good hiker needs their lip-gloss!
The rock that Bill is "holding" up and I'm next too was incredibly balanced. The picture below
does a much better job at seeing the Lord's hand. Although it was conference weekend, gotta love DVR, it was awesome seeing the beauty in the world around us. I have never been able to actually see bees pollenating, and on a cactus flower no less. Very cool.
We even got a rare glimpse of the "Starship Enterprise".
I didn't get any great pictures of it, but lake Mead was beautiful. Who knew that it was sooo
blue?! It was sad to see how low it is but awesome at the same time to see the color variation in the rock. We could even see the fish swimming just under the surface.
The bridge that is being built at the Hoover Dam was amazing. Dad said he thought he remembered seeing something on it on Discovery Channel. I think I could've stared at it all day. I have always been fascinated with bridges; how they are built and how they function. I loved it!
Much to our dismay there wasn't a big line drawn down the road marking Nevada/Arizona like
in the all time greatest movie, "Fools Rush In". We did however find this. We even got "Dam" buttons and "Dam" stickers. For the next several days Olivia liked emphasizing that we went to the "Dam" for no other reason than she heard us joking about it. Clearly a mormon thing!!!
Very cool!

I'm so jealous! I love Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam! You'll have to go back with us this summer. Great pictures; although the balancing rock pictures were a little scary for a mom to look at. Yikes! Get out from under that rock! :)
I'm so glad you guys had so much fun. Dad told everybody he saw about it when they got back. I'm bummed there's no line on the dam. :( And yes that is an all time great movie.
