A Step in the Right Direction

Overall today was a good day. Olivia is off of her medication that was helping her heart beat, along with the insulin and another medication. Olivia was able to maintain her body temp by herself for most of the day. Olivia is still on the ventilator and is on the Prisma machine. Her nurses were happy with what they were seeing.

Little Livi, you are one strong girl. I'll be downtown tomorrow, so hopefully it will work to stop by and say hello. I'm grateful for your good day.

Livi Love...You have so many people who love you! What a very special girl you are! Cody and Logan love to see the pictures of you and hear how you are getting better each day. We keep replaying the video your mom took of you so that we can hear your sweet voice. I have also been telling baby Emily all about her brave cousin Olivia. She can't wait to meet her only other girl cousin! And Aaron...we miss your giggles, little man! We send our love to each of you and continue fervent prayers throughout each day. Remember that we can be there anytime you feel you need us. And, Rachel, I had to smile at the irony of introductions when you thanked me for introducing you to my cousin who eventually played a part in you guys finding Dr. Bernstein. After all, if it weren't for your inspired introduction of me to your brother, I wouldn't be blessed to be a part of this precious family! To you I will forever be indebted. We love and miss you guys...TONS!

Bill and Rachel:
That is great news! Everyday seems to get a little better. It was great seeing you guys and the strength and love you are finding in one another was truly special to be apart of. Little Aaron is so big and such a special little guy. His smile is just so amazing. Seeing Olivia open her eyes and squeeze your fingers was just a testament to how strong your little girl truly is. She is so brave and has always been such a special little girl.

We love you guys so much and hope to be back very soon:).

Love always,
Sam, Nikki, Josh and Cody

I was so happy to hear about Olivia's progress. Every little step she takes in that direction counts tremendously. We continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers. Ashlyn and Ella remember her in their prayers as well.
